Holiday Party 09'

A big thank you to Winners Circle for opening their lovely space for the event, and 509 Wines, delicious wine from Walla Walla.

The event could not have happened without Miss Osiris, Eddie Kim of Superbetch.com and Kyle Johnson. Cheers!

We will slowly feature all the talented photographers who participated at the event! Stay tuned.

Tomokazu Matsuyama

This fine young gent has all the modern shapes and colors of graphic design (band posters) but is spinning a yarn from a thousand years ago. Let me example you.

What color, design, texture! Not to mention these are paintings, of the hand-crafted variety. Let me example some installations.

Also, a Matzu factoid:
Doesn't a BA in Management (Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan) and a masters in Communications Design (Pratt Institute, NY) totally read through?
How interesting.

APPROX. ONE HOUR OF HAPPINESS

Olaf Hajek
"Olaf Hajek was born in Rendsburg, (Germany). He took a degree in Graphic Design at the Fachhochschule in Düsseldorf in 1993. He lives and works in Berlin."

A recent (ie: earlier today) favorite of The Happiest Day, Olaf Hajek is an illustrator extraordinaire. His sense of proportion & use of color are provocative & his subject matter is gorgeous, if not incredibly intriguing. Olaf has been published in The New Yorker & Rolling Stone, to name a few.

ENJOY:
